Chemical and materials machine learning school 2025

This machine learning for materials training course is being run at Daresbury Laboratory by the Physical Sciences Data Infrastructure (PSDI) initiative in collaboration with AIChemy, STFC-SCD, PSDS, CCP5 and CCP9. This training is targeted towards PhD students, in particular those in the Materials and Molecular Simulations field.  The aim of this training is to introduce attendees to the latest methods of machine learning applied to atomistic simulation of materials.

Exploring Data Curation and Management in Physical Sciences: PSDI Roadshow @ Cambridge

The Physical Sciences Data Infrastructure (PSDI), the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC), and the Digital Curation Centre (DCC) are jointly hosting an in-person, one-day event in Cambridge to explore data curation and data management in physical sciences.

Via presentations and discussions, the event will enable knowledge exchange around current practices, challenges, and future directions in the curation and management of research data in physical sciences, as well as foster networking and collaboration.

The event will highlight PSDI’s work and, importantly, gather community input for identifying future priorities and activities that will support data management and curation in the physical sciences.
