PSDI is pleased to launch a new webinar series entitled “From Project to Platform: New Resources on PSDI”. This series aims to showcase the high-quality tools and resources developed through the funding call 2025 and other PSDI collaborators, introduce them to a broader community, and foster engagement with relevant user groups.

On 22nd October 2026, PSDI hosted the sixth session of the new webinar series titled “TopoStats and AFMDB – an open source toolkit for the analysis and sharing of Atomic Force Microscopy datasets”.

For those who missed the live session or wish to revisit the discussion, the full webinar is available on our YouTube channel.

The slides are available on zenodo: https://zenodo.org/records/23938745

Abstract: Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) generates rich nanoscale data, yet quantitative analysis and large-scale reproducibility remain significant challenges. Dr Thomas Catley explored how a new FAIR and open-source ecosystem combining AFM Reader, TopoStats, and AFMDB is transforming AFM from a largely image-based technique into a quantitative, data-driven platform that supports open science, machine learning, and next-generation AI-enabled discovery.
